Frequently asked questions

Questions people actually ask

What does it cost the venue?

Nothing. There is no cost and no obligation. The venue provides the floor space and the electricity, and we supply and run the machine.

How much does the venue receive?

25 percent of net revenue, paid monthly. We keep the rest against hardware, prizes and servicing.

Who looks after the machine?

We do. ChainClaws owns, places, stocks, services and remotely monitors every machine, so nobody at the venue has to empty coin boxes, fix jams or source prizes.

How do people pay to play?

Every machine is cashless and takes card and phone payment.

Can we have the machine removed?

Yes. Placement is zero-obligation, and the machine is removed on request.

How are payouts set?

Payout ratios are tuned remotely to keep the game fun and within the rules.

What kind of venue is it for?

Restaurants, laundromats, barber shops, bowling alleys, cinemas, hotels, shopping centres and family entertainment venues, and franchise operators who want a passive route business.

What does the calculator on this site estimate?

It estimates the venue's monthly share from your footfall, the share of visitors you expect to play and the price per play, after the machine's electricity. The play figures are your own estimates.

Why should I trust the empty corner calculator?

Play rate and plays per player are your estimates, not figures from other venues. The share and the electricity are arithmetic on what you enter.

What could that empty corner pay you?

Put in your weekly footfall, how many might play and the price per play. See the venue's monthly share, after the machine's electricity. Runs in your browser. No account, no card, no call.
